There are so many community groups throughout Campbelltown that make an incredible contribution within our community. It's not fame or recognition that drives the members of these groups, it's the satisfaction in knowing they have made life better others. One of the groups who has served our community so well – particularly over the past four months – is Lomandra Community Pantry. The community pantry started from humble beginnings on the grounds of Lomandra School to now a large warehouse in Leumeah. The team at the pantry provide food and toiletries to residents within the Campbelltown and wider Macarthur community who are in need. That need only increased following the Delta outbreak and subsequent lockdown and restrictions that were placed on Campbelltown. I had the pleasure of once again visiting the pantry recently to thank the volunteers for their hard work and unwavering dedication to the cause. Our community is certainly much better off for having the Lomandra Community Pantry around. Thank you again to the entire team at the pantry for all that you have done and continue to do in an effort to make lives better for those in our close-knit community.
